RHS Flower Show Tatton Park 2017 Gold Medal Winner

We received the Gold Medal for the garden we built at the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park in 2017. This garden was called Business & Pleasure – taking inspiration from the High Line in New York, this garden came alive with subtle combinations of perennial plants and high-quality landscaping to make an inviting outdoor office. A charming palette of purple, blue and pink flowers sway gently in the breeze beneath the fluttering leaves of birches.
This shallow water feature is made from fibre-glass, with an incredibly realistic rustic finish, surrounded by delicate planting.
Solid, all-weather garden furniture can stay out all year, allowing you to make the most of good weather at a moment's notice.
The garden is inspired by the High Line and Piet Oudolf’s use of grasses, as well as New York rooftop gardens, where the more naturalistic planting provides an escape from the busy city life.
The planting is designed with pollinators in mind – it’s buzzing with bees, butterflies and hoverflies. Echinops ritro, in particular, is covered with insects.
The hardwood table is made from the same material as the decking (an FSC-certified hardwood called mandioqueira) to give a unified feel to the garden.
