Resin Driveway FAQs
Q. How much does a resin driveway cost?
Resin bound driveways and surfaces can start from as little as £80 per square metre. Prices vary depending on the existing surface that we will be overlaying, the quality of the resin required as well as the size of the area.
Resin surfaces normally end up a similar price to block paving when you take into account maintenance costs and the longevity of the product.
Q. How long does it take to install a resin driveway?
Resin is extremely quick to lay, which is just one of the reasons why people love this product so much. We always advise that you leave walking on the newly laid resin for 24 hours afterwards, this can be longer in hotter weather.
Q. Can resin bound surfaces be used for patios and not just driveways?
Resin is used for patios, seating areas, paths and driveways. It has the look of stone but offers a stable surface so your tables and chairs wont sink. It is slip resistant and perfect for any outdoor area.
Q. Can resin driveways be installed during the winter?
Yes! Resin driveways and patios can be applied all year round; we do require dry weather to lay the resin bound surface and extreme heat and cold can be a problem too- this is the same for the majority of surfaces that would be applied.
Q. I’m not sure what finish I want, can you help me choose?
Our team will ensure that you receive the best advice, we can show you previous work as well as having plenty of samples available to help you decide, we can even create bespoke colours for your resin surface.
We can install many different types of edging from a contemporary stainless steel to a traditional cobble to or create interest into the resin finish so that your driveway will be the envy of your neighbours.
Q. Is it true that you can remove oil from a resin surface?
Yes, resin is extremely hardwearing, oil can be removed easily using household detergent and clean water, you can also remove chewing gum, cement and other substances from resin that would normally leave stains on a surface.
Q. Do you need to be registered to lay resin?
Yes, all our team here at Evergreen Cheshire Ltd have completed a course in laying resin bound driveways, so you can have peace of mind when choosing us to complete you resin bound driveway and surface.
